Located just off the beautiful Gold Coast, the Diplomat Golf and Tennis Club sprawls across a lush terrain covered with thousands of coconut and Royal palms. Towering banyans provide shade throughout the golf course as well. Although it is a public course, it has the look and feel of a private club. It has been a staple of the south Florida community since opening in 1957. The layout features interesting hole designs that incorporate raised greens framed by contoured mounding and more than 75 strategically placed sand bunkers. The water features are hard to miss seeing as they come into play on all but two holes. The golf course is a challenge but not too intimidating for less experienced players. The beautiful scenery alone will be well worth the round.

Great Facility Overall
The Diplomat knows how to do golf! Nice practice facility (range, chipping area, practice green) before you tee-off. The course is challenging even from the gold tees at 6200+ yds (the wind was up which made it play much longer). Afterwards we grabbed a late lunch on the patio - excellent food and great location.
Great Course, Great Value
This course is a steal for $99, which is what we played it for. Great condition, great pace of play, friendly staff. Favorite course among Jacaranda courses and Emerald Hills
Great course & Layout
Diplomat is one of the better courses and layouts in S. Florida with a ton of water holes. The only negative was that when we were on the first tee, they added a single player from New York who talked on the phone the whole time and tried to give me lessons on the course. The good news is that once he quit after 12 holes, I went back to Pars and Birdies.
Impeccably Manicured
Course was in great shape. Greens rolling fast and true. And with 20mph sustained winds AND one player in my group taking a 10 on number two, still made an early morning tee time finish in 3:45. All in, a great experience.
Perfect
The weather was perfect for the first 9 holes. The course was in GREAT shape. The green were wonderful. The second nine the wind picked and the course was more crowded and it played much slower. Everyone was nice. My golf game still is awful but the course was wonderful. Will definitnely play again when I'm in the area.
This course has a very pratical location 5 minutes from the beach

Beautiful course and although not long, requires some course mgm't. Love to have a beer on the course but on both days, took more than 10 holes before we saw the beer cart. Other than that a truly professional treatment by all

Diplomat's In Great Condition And Ready For Play
I play the course several times a year. As of 10-14, the course is in great condition and the greens are EXCELLENT...super fast and undulating...a real test not to 3 putt. New owners are supposedly living onsite and will be making changes, hopefully better food and golf packages. As long as they keep the course in this great condition, I'll be coming back again and again. Get a foursome of buddies to play, then hit GulfStream next door after the round for some Casino fun! A must play for the weekly golfer in South Florida. Only downside...Hi Season rates are set way too high for the locals, so like me, hope for a Hot Deal or wait till the Spring.

excellent course, loved the greens with water all around, the only thing that needs improving it's better signs on where to go for the next hole.
This course is worth playing
Overall the course was in good shape, the carts have gps which is always a nice feature. The staff were all very accommodating, from the valets to the starter. The only down side was the driving range was closed and the chipping green was in really bad shape!!
Incredible
This is course is a must play, especially for $44. Free range balls, free chipping green, free putting green, free sand trap practice. Facility is immaculate. Showers are awesome. Course is very challenging. Wish I was a better golfer on a course like this. Go and play this course as soon as you can!!
Great course and Staff
Me and a group of friends played course and really loved our experience. . Neal and staff did excellent job with our golf outing he introduced Troon golf which is a plus itself.. Course was in awesome shape and greens were rolling perfect..

Long round
I enjoyed the course on Saturday. The only negative was the pace of play. I was in a foursome and we were all playing from the blues and we waited on every shot. We were held up by an extremely slow group of 3 guys. The course was in excellent shape as well as the range. Tough little course that tops out at 6500 yards. Not a fan of having to valet the car to play golf. I would recommend the course if you get a great rate to play.
What every course/club should strive for!!
Great course with friendly staff.. Very calssy from the moment you arrive and the valets greet you through the time you step on the course.. A must play if you're in South Florida..
Summer golf
I played this course during the summer, so I am sure the conditions get better.
Greens were the best part of the course. They had good pace and rolled true.
Tee boxes were a disgrace , mostly chewed up dirt and no grass
Course layout is fun, short track with challenging holes.
Would like to play in peak season of conditions of bunkers fairways tees improved.
