Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.
