Trump National Doral Miami - Red Tiger Course
About
The Red Tiger Course (formerly known as Red Course) at the Trump National Doral Miami is one of five 18-hole courses at the resort. Each golf course offers unique challenges for golfers of every skill level. The Red Tiger Course puts a premium on shot placement as well as strategy. The course features fairways that wind around lakes situated throughout, which serve as water hazards that come into play on 14 holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play. The sixth and 14th holes have challenging island greens. Trump National Doral Miami, in addition to being home to five courses and a golf school, also has practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Trump Tiger
Played the Red Tiger Course at Trump Doral and although the condition was on point the layout was just like any other resort-style course and had no standout holes at all. When you are paying this amount of money you expect many WOW !!!! holes and they were just not there. Not worth the money they charge even though it was still a beautiful golf course.
A bit disappointed
For an expensive round of golf like this, I can believe I need to pay extra for parking. This is the first time I have ever paid for parking to play a round of golf. Also, golfers playing at the course didn't bother raking the bunkers or fixing pitch marks.
Golf cart nightmare
My golf cart kept stopping and telling me I was off the correct path even when I was on the golf cart path. It would stop and make me reverse. I would move forward and it would stop again. It absolutely ruined what should’ve been a great day with me and my friends. Course is fabulous staff was excellent.
Overall a nice course. Something different in that there are 6 par 5, 6 par 4 and 6 par 3. Short layout as well so you don’t really get to play many different clubs out of your bag. Made a couple of eagles on short par 5’s which was fun but driver/9 iron is more like a birdie on a par 4. Greens were in great shape.
Great venue pricey
Lower pricing would make this venue excellent in all categories. Staff is excellent.
Pay for parking is just ridiculous
The courses are nice but very expensive and especially when you then have to pay $20 to park
Good tough track, experience not great
It is obviously a gorgeous facility with a lot going on but it is also very confusing for first time golfers. Felt a little like those playing the non blue monster course were second class citizens. There are a lot of people working but nobody really tells you where to go, took a long time to get a cart then had to ask about going to the tee then nobody was running the tee so some were going out as twosomes rather than 4somes. The red course is a good track with lots of water and very difficult. One thing that bothered me on the way out was when I got there they basically told me I had to valet because the parking lot was so far away(which it wasn’t) and then when I was ready to go I waited for a long time after I paid the $32 valet charge which wasn’t mentioned. Never paid to park to play golf but learn something new everyday.
Great course
Condition of course was great.
However, beyond pace of play issues and no cart service because they were “busy” (I mean hey, we are all busy…) one of the restaurants is closed and prices have significantly increased. Sleepy Joe like increases. Also, parking costs have increased 60% from last month. I mean, 32 bucks to park for a round of golf? Ridiculous. Or, hump your bag a half mile. Let’s work on making valet parking rates great again….for the consumer. Not 45.
Other than that, good as usual.
Great course
Everything was first class. Some of the best and fastest greens I've putted on. Highly reco.
Not worth it
First of all when you come in to the parking lot they want you to valet cost $35 next if you want to Self park cost $20 the starter was supposed to pare me up with somebody instead he said go out on your own which would make it a long day overall condition of the course was just OK for the price you’re paying hopefully in the future conditions get better for that price
Great course
The course was in great shape. Strangely, the greens were much faster than the practice green. Only parking option is a $40 valet. However, the system is good getting your clubs down to the loading area.
