The Club at Emerald Hills

There have been pace and issues with conditions in the past but not yesterday. Pace under 4 hours, conditions very good. Staff always nice.

I played here before in conditions that were damp and overcast but today's round was in bright sun and a lot of wind. The course is in good condition and has a layout comprised of doglegs left and right, frontal water hazards on a few holes, lateral water hazards on a few holes, and straight away long drive type holes so it's well balanced. I played from the white tees which are 6100+ yards but there 4 other sets of longer tees if you need more of a challenge. The 371 yard 13th hole is extremely difficult requiring a drive of about 150+ yards to clear the water and we were hitting into the wind. Once you clear the water off the tee, you then have a 150 to 200 yard shot over water to the green. Or you can do what I did and layup. Bring your A game. Pro shop was attentive as were the golf cart staff and marshalls.

Overall, the course was fine. Amenities were limited, however.

Challenging course - nice layout but pace of play was slow and no ranger to speed play . Amenities were great.

I thought the course layout was great. A lot of the greens had patchwork like they were repairing them. The tee boxes were very high grass needed to be cut. I think the price would’ve been fair if the course was kept up. The staff was great. They did have a lot of people out there working on the course. I’m not sure Why wasn’t in good shape. Overall B minus
