Briar Bay Golf Course, opened in 1975, is an affordably priced executive course that stretches out over 30 acres. The course presents challenges for all players, beginning to advanced. The layout features elevated greens that are small and fast, narrow fairways that are protected with bunkers.
Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa Greens Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees.

The Jim McLean Course is one of five 18-hole courses at Doral Golf Resort & Spa. The courses offer a good game for players of any skill level. Unlike the Gold Course at the resort, the Jim McLean Course does not follow a traditional Floridian layout. There are elevated tee boxes and greens and narrow, rolling fairways.
The Red Course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa is one of five 18-hole courses at the resort. The Red Course puts a premium on shot placement as well as strategy. The course features fairways that wind around lakes situated throughout, which serve as water hazards that come into play on 14 holes.
Doral Golf Resort & Spa offers five 18-hole courses, but the Blue Monster is the most well known. Originally designed by Dick Wilson, the golf course has been updated throughout the years by different architects to keep the challenges current. The course calls for strategy as well as distance.

The Marlin/Dolphin course is one of three 18-hole combinations composed of three individual nine-hole courses at Miccosukee Golf & Country Club. The course was built on relatively flat terrain but there is some mounding in its design that can cause challenging uneven lies.
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area.
Westview Country Club offers a golf course done in the true Florida tradition. The course was built on flat terrain, making it an easy walk. The golf course features small greens that are fast and well protected by bunkers. The fairways are bordered by dense forestry and they are very narrow.
